Information pursuant to section 13 of Leg. Dec. 196/03 "Personal data protection code"
Cookies are small fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) which enable the web server to store on the client program (browser) information to be re-used during the same visit to the website (session cookies) or at a later time, even after several days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored by the browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, Smartphone), according to the user's preferences.
Similar technologies, such as web beacon, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to gather information on the user's behaviour and on the use of the services.
In this document we will make reference to cookies and to all similar technologies by simply using the term "cookie".
According to the characteristics and use of cookies we can distinguish different categories:
Strictly necessary. These are essential for the correct operation of the website and are used to manage the login activity and access to the reserved functions. The duration of the cookies is strictly limited to the work session (once the browser is closed they are deleted). Their deactivation compromises the use of the services which can be accessed through the login process. The public part usually remains useable.
Analytics and performance. They are used to anonymously gather and analyse the traffic and use of the website. These cookies make it possible to detect whether the same user re-connects at different times, without identifying him/her. They also make it possible to monitor the system and improve its performances and usability. These cookies can be deactivated without any loss of function.
Profiling. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or not) the user's preferences and to improve his/her browsing experience. THE WEBSITE travelandfair.net does not use this kind of cookies.
When a website is visited, cookies can be received both from the visited website ("proprietary") and from websites managed by other organisations ("third parties"). A notable example is the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin. These are parts of the visited page, generated directly by the aforementioned websites and integrated into the page of the host website. The most common use of social plugins is finalised at sharing contents on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all the websites managed by third parties. The handling of information gathered by "third parties" is governed by the relevant policies which should be referred to. To guarantee greater transparency and convenience, we list the web addresses of different policies and methods for handling cookies.

Google Analytics
travelandfair.net also includes several components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service supplied by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Here, too, third party cookies are gathered and handled anonymously to monitor and improve the performances of the host website (performance cookies).
Google Analytics uses "cookies" to gather and analyse, in anonymous form, information on how the website is used (including the user's IP address). This information is gathered by Google Analytics which processes it to draft reports for the operators of TRAVELANFAIR concerning the activities on the websites. This website does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) the Google analytics tool to monitor or gather personal identification data. Google does not associate the IP address to any other data in its possession and does not try to connect an IP address with the user's identity. Google can also communicate this information to third parties where this is imposed by the law or where these third parties handle the aforementioned information on behalf of Google.

The user can selectively disable the action by Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component supplied by Google on his/her browser. To disable the action by Google Analytics refer to the link below:

Several cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies "survive" the closure of the browser and are available in subsequent user visits. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiry date is set; in others the duration is unlimited.
Browsing the pages, it is possible to interact with websites managed by third parties which can create or modify permanent or profiling cookies.
The user can decide whether to accept or refuse the cookies using his/her own browser settings.
The "technical" and "analytics" cookies are active by default when the user's browser is set in that mode: the user can exclude them by deactivating them directly through the specific browser setting.
Warning: total or partial disabling of technical cookies can compromise the use of the website functions reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public contents is also possible by fully disabling the cookies.
Disabling "third party" cookies does not compromise the ability to browse in any way.
The setting can be defined specifically for the different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow to define different settings for "proprietary" and "third party" cookies.
Below are the links for handling the cookies and their possible removal in the best-known browsers.
By way of example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools-> Options - >Privacy it is possible to access a control panel in which to define whether to accept or refuse the different types of cookies and remove them.
